"Ο κατά φαντασίαν ασθενής" by Molière is a theatrical work first performed on February 10, 1673. The play centers on Argan, an elderly hypochondriac who constantly believes himself ill despite having no real ailment. Determined to secure free medical care, he plans to marry his daughter Angelique to a doctor, though she loves another. With help from his brother and servant, Argan's delusions—and the true intentions of those around him—will be dramatically revealed through an ingenious deception involving a staged death.
