A Compilation of the Messages and Papers of the Presidents. Volume 5, part 1: Presidents Taylor and Fillmore

Om denne boken

"A Compilation of the Messages and Papers of the Presidents. Volume 5, part 1" compiled by James D. Richardson is a historical document collection published in the late 19th century. This volume preserves the official proclamations, messages, and speeches of Presidents Zachary Taylor and Millard Fillmore during their terms from 1849 to 1853. Part of an eleven-volume series spanning over a century of American presidential history, this compilation became the center of a political controversy over the private copyright of public documents, ultimately changing how government works could be protected.
