Om denne boken

"The Memoirs of Jacques Casanova de Seingalt, 1725-1798. Volume 10: under the…" is part of an autobiography written between 1789 and 1798. This volume belongs to Giacomo Casanova's sprawling memoir spanning twelve volumes and 3,500 pages. The Venetian adventurer chronicles his extraordinary life from birth through 1774, writing in French rather than his native Italian. The work's complex publication history involves censorship, mistranslation, and a lost manuscript that wasn't published in its original form until 1960, revealing the unvarnished account of an 18th-century life lived without restraint.
