Om denne boken

"The Lives of the Fathers, Martyrs, and Other Principal Saints, Vol. 7. July" by Rev. Alban Butler is a religious compilation written in the early 20th century. This volume is part of a larger series that provides a record of Christian saints, their lives, and the events surrounding their canonization and cults. The content is likely to appeal to readers interested in hagiography, the study of saints, and the history of Christianity. At the start of this volume, readers are introduced to several saints commemorated in July, including St. Rumold, who dedicated his life to God and was martyred in 775 after converting many to Christianity in Lower Germany. The narrative highlights his commitment to moderation and prayer. The opening portions also begin the stories of other saints, such as SS. Julius and Aaron, martyrs from the British Isles, and St. Theobald, emphasizing their virtuous lives and contributions to the Christian faith. Together, these accounts establish a rich tapestry of devotion and exemplify the challenges faced by early Christians in their quests for holiness.
