Om denne boken
"The World English Bible (WEB): 2 Kings" by Anonymous is a biblical text concluding the Deuteronomistic history of ancient Israel. This historical narrative traces approximately 400 years from King David's death to Jehoiachin's release from Babylonian imprisonment. The account chronicles the divided kingdoms of Israel and Judah, featuring prophets Elijah and Elisha, political upheaval, religious conflict, and ultimately the fall of Samaria and Jerusalem. Blending annals with legends and miracle stories, it offers theological reflection on national destruction and exile.
