The History of Herodotus — Volume 2

Om denne boken

"The History of Herodotus — Volume 2" by Herodotus is a historical work written in the 5th century BC.

This volume continues the founding work of Western history, chronicling the rise of the Persian Empire and the causes of the Greco-Persian Wars. Herodotus frames the conflict as a struggle between slavery and freedom, between Persian invaders and Greek city-states. Through travels and interviews across the ancient world, he preserves remarkable achievements of both Greeks and non-Greeks, ensuring human events are not erased by time.
